Hi, I’m Dave Drew – The Outdoor Dog Photographer.
Dogs have been at the centre of my life for as long as I can remember. My very first dog, a Golden Retriever named Becky, sparked a love for dogs that’s stayed with me ever since. Over the years I’ve shared my home and heart with English Springer Spaniels — Holly, Storm, Fen, Abi, and Eli. Each one has had their own personality, their quirks, and their place in our family’s story.
It was because of these dogs that my passion for photography truly took shape. I found myself wanting to capture not just how they looked, but who they were — the way their ears perked up when they heard a pheasant in the woods, the sparkle in their eyes when they spotted a favourite toy, or the way they leaned in close during quiet moments. I wanted to freeze those little flashes of character before they slipped away.
For me, dog photography isn’t just about taking pictures — it’s about preserving the love, loyalty, and companionship that our dogs bring into our lives. Every wag of the tail, every muddy paw print, every look of trust tells a story worth keeping forever.
I also believe these portraits should be within reach for everyone who loves their dog. Quality dog photography is often seen as a luxury, but I’ve built my sessions to be affordable without compromising on the experience or the final images.
